The Storyteller’s Saga team received a package by Marjaan Botanicals about a month ago, and we have been excited to share our thoughts with you ever since!
The backstory
Marjaan Botanicals is a micro-enterprise that makes toxin-free and naturally derived skincare and makeup products. They are a cruelty-free brand, to the point that all their products have been tested on family and friends instead of animals.
That is a vision we align with, and hence, we were delighted to get a chance to review their products.
We received three things: Charcoal Foaming Scrub, Safaida Soap, and Natural Deodorant. Each one of our core team members (Maha (me), Mishayl, and Anna) got to take one product home so that we could try and see what Marjaan Botanicals is all about.

“Enriched with wild turmeric, Multani mitti, and activated charcoal, this little soap & scrub wonder really helped my skin get the treatment it deserves! I could feel the difference right after our very first wash: my skin felt moisturized and cleansed. Over the past month, I’ve been using this product by Marjaan Botanicals regularly, and it has really helped me get my acne breakouts in control. I have combination skin, and it worked amazingly for me! However, the Charcoal Foaming Scrub is catered towards people with oily skin, so it can be a little drying, which is why it isn’t the right product for people with dry skin.”
Safaida Soap
I called dibs on this product – the cute packaging and the name caught my attention, and I couldn’t wait to try the product.

Here’s my review:
“My skin tends to act crazy during winters. The hyper-pigmentation worsens, making my skin tone uneven and leaving my face to look ashy and feel dry. This winter, however, I am satisfied with the condition of my skin – and we have Marjaan Botanicals to thank for that! I have been using the Safaida Soap almost every day, and it has helped me even out my skin tone, treat my acne scars and cleanse my skin just the right way. The Safaida Soap is made of safaida (non-nano zinc oxide), honey, myrrh, and many wonderful essential oils, which is just the perfect combination of nutrition for my skin.”
Natural Deodorant (Lavender)
Lastly, we have the lavender-scented natural deodorant that Anna got to take home.

“I have this thing where I need to smell good ALL the time. So naturally, when I saw the deodorant in the package sent by Marjaan Botanicals, I was excited. It is an excellent product, especially if you are trying to go chemical-free. The Natural Deodorant is made of mango butter, lavender essential oil, and arrowroot powder, which means that it does not only help you smell good, but it also helps you treat sensitive underarms and let your skin dry. If you have always used spray-on deodorants like me, this might take a little getting used to in terms of application. But it is truly worth it!”
